Job SummaryThe AV Multimedia Technician is responsible for the day‑to‑day operation, basic maintenance, and technical support of audiovisual and multimedia systems. The role focuses on ensuring reliable functioning of exhibition AV equipment and interactive installations to support a seamless visitor experience, under the guidance of the AV Multimedia Specialist and AV Operations Lead.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and monitor AV and multimedia systems across galleries, exhibitions, theaters, and public areas.
- Provide first‑line technical support for:
Digital signage, video walls, and displays;
Projectors and LED screens;
Interactive touchscreens, kiosks, and multimedia exhibits;
Audio systems and basic control interfaces. - Perform routine checks, cleaning, and preventive maintenance of AV equipment.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and report faults or performance issues promptly.
- Assist with content playback checks and simple content updates as instructed.
- Support exhibition installations, changeovers, and de-installation activities.
- Assist senior AV staff during testing, commissioning, and system handover.
- Maintain daily logs, fault reports, and maintenance records.
- Coordinate with facilities, IT teams, and external vendors as required.
- Ensure compliance with museum SOPs, safety guidelines, and HSE requirements.
- Provide on‑site technical support during events, guided tours, and VIP visits.
- Diploma or ITI in Audio‑Visual Technology, Electronics, Multimedia, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in AV or multimedia support roles.
- Experience in museums, exhibitions, cultural venues, or public attractions is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of AV systems, multimedia equipment, and interactive displays.
- Willingness to learn and work with new technologies and systems.
- Good hands‑on troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and SOPs.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a public‑facing environment with professionalism.
- AVIXA CTS (or willingness to pursue certification)
- Basic IT or networking certifications (added advantage)
