UX Designer – Infrastructure

We are hiring a UX Designer for Infrastructure to collaborate with engineering teams and create open‑source tools used to build clouds and manage clusters globally. This role reports to the Infrastructure Design Manager and is based remotely in the EMEA region.

• Build tools that enable users to create cloud experiences across MAAS, LXD, Micro Cloud and Canonical Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to shape the future of data centre cloud solutions.
• Support deeply complex products with design processes and UX heuristics.
• Evangelise and evolve design systems to drive consistency and efficiency.
• Understand interconnected constraints and broader business impact.
• Support a design working group to promote cross‑functional initiatives.
• Communicate design decisions effectively at company meetings and with stakeholders.

• Exceptional academic track record (high school and university) or strong equivalent experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in User Experience, Design, STEM, or a compelling alternative path.
• Passion for user experience, technology, and design.
• Commitment to continuous learning, curiosity, flexibility and a scientific mindset.
• Result‑oriented with a drive to finish work and celebrate success.
• Confidence and experience in user research practices.
• Engagement with the latest design research and innovation.
• Ability to travel internationally up to twice a year for company events up to two weeks.
