The Database Administrator is responsible for ensuring proper database services such as data storage and data warehousing are maintained and functioning effectively.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Establish database services (data store, data warehouse, etc.) requirements.
- Implement and manage database services solution.
- Manage databases performance and capacity.
- Define data backup and recovery requirements.
- Perform and manage backup and recovery.
- Optimize the use of databases across the company by staying current on any relevant enhancements
- Bachelors Degree, preferably in Information Technology or Computer Science
- Desirable: CISSP, CISA or CISM certification
- Over 2 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of and experience in various database administration functions
- Experience in using Microsoft Office tools
- Understanding of the principles of database management
- English is required
