Technical Recruiter

Overview

Reporting into the Recruitment Manager, the Recruitment Specialist assists with manpower planning and will be responsible for recruitment advertising and sourcing, screening, selection, background checks, salary negotiation, and inducting employee onboarding to support the QPM recruitment program. The Recruitment Specialist will work closely with the Recruitment Manager and the hiring managers within the Operations Department to ensure a high level of service is provided.

Under the general direction of the Recruitment Manager, manages the recruitment of Technical Professionals such as Engineers, Project Managers. Leverages online recruiting resources, agencies and in house recruitment database to identify and resource candidates. Places adverts in relevant job boards. Sources candidates via direct methods to reduce reliance on third party vendors. Ensures candidate files are created and all documents are collated, references are sourced and background checks are completed.

Prepares and extends offers after obtaining appropriate offer authorization. Participates in contract negotiation with candidates. Ensures the ERP(Dynamo) is maintained at all times. Ensures all candidates receive the appropriate feedback on their application promptly. Works closely with colleagues to create a strong team environment to support all recruitment efforts.

• Diploma / Bachelor s degree with civil engineering background preferred.
• 5+ years recruitment experience, with a key focus on Engineering, construction and project Management
• Experience and demonstrated ability in the recruitment technical and engineering staff.
• Experience in the interpretation and application of Qatar labor law regulations and employment law
• Experience and demonstrated ability in all aspects of local recruitment screening, selection, candidate processing, and on-boarding.
• Demonstrated ability to use impartial judgment and retain and impart confidential information appropriately.
• Demonstrated strong consultation and negotiation skills and the ability to persuade candidates.
• Ability to work on tight deadlines and prioritizing the work on a daily basis.
• Strong customer service oriented skills towards hiring managers and candidates.
• Self driven and must be capable of working with minimum supervision
• Strong Communication Skills – both oral and written in English. Arabic is preferred.
