What you will be doing:

Assist in the preparation and production of high-quality pastry items, desserts, and plated sweets

Support the Chef de Partie in daily pastry operations, ensuring consistency in quality, taste, and presentation

Prepare and maintain mise en place efficiently to ensure smooth and timely service

Follow established recipes and presentation standards, while remaining open to learning new pastry techniques and trends

Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in line with HACCP and food safety regulations

Ensure proper stock rotation and assist in monitoring inventory levels within the pastry section

Collaborate closely with the kitchen and service teams to ensure seamless execution for restaurants, banquets, and events

Take responsibility for your section when delegated and proactively resolve any operational challenges during service

Demonstrate initiative in developing your pastry skills and creativity under the guidance of senior chefs

Handle guest dietary requirements and special dessert requests with care and attention to detail, delivering personalized and memorable experiences

Your experience and skills include:

Previous experience in a professional pastry kitchen, preferably within a hotel or fine dining environment

Culinary certification or diploma in Pastry Arts or a related field is preferred

Strong passion for pastry and dessert creation, with a keen eye for detail, texture, and presentation

Solid organizational and time-management skills to manage mise en place and service demands efficiently

A collaborative team player with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow

Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards within a pastry environment
