Job Summary

Senior Consultant Clinical Virology & Molecular Biology – Permanent – Doha, Qatar – Start ASAP – Salary: GBP 12 000 – 15 000 Per Month

In January 2016, they became the first healthcare system across the globe to have all its hospitals accredited by Joint Commission International under the Academic Medical Centre accreditation program. The National Ambulance Service, Home Healthcare Service, Stroke Service and Palliative Care also received this prestigious accreditation since 2011.

To qualify as a consultant with this institution and as per the licensing authorities, the following are required:

• 6 years Consultant experience in a Western hospital
• 6 years post‑specialist qualification experience from the following countries:
  
  • UK – CCT
  
  • USA – American Board
  
  • Canada – Canadian Fellowship
  
  • Ireland – CSD/CSCST
  
  • Australia & New Zealand (Fellowship)
  
  • France – DES/DESC
  
  • Other European countries according to the qualification equivalence tables of the licensing authorities

Experience in clinical virology is required.

Salary:
To be advised

Gratuity: 1 Month basic salary per annum

Contract Duration: 3 years renewable

Contract Status:
Married (if required) – Self, spouse & 3 children (to 18 yrs)

Accommodation:
Provided or allowance of QR 8 000 per month for married

Utilities Allowance:
Up to QR 600 pm if taking assigned accommodation

Baggage allowance: 50 kg per person of unaccompanied baggage

Flights:
Business Class for family

Leave: 50 days a year + local holidays – can be split

Ed Allowance:
For up to 3 children to age 18 (to QR 21 000 per child pa)

Study leave:
Max 9 days after 18 months service. Flight costs & fees paid

Medical Cover:
Company scheme at nominal fees for employee & dependents

Increments:
Annual increments based on performance appraisal

Transport: QR 1 000 approx per month allowance

Hours of Work:
Approx 7 am – 3 pm Sunday to Thursday

On call:
As required within speciality
