JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for supporting business finance matters, including financial and strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, opportunity evaluation, cost control, and reporting.
ACCOUNTABILITIES- Identify and analyze financial impact of business decisions and initiatives.
- Partner with business units and senior management to recommend actions based on analysis.
- Present objective financial views and recommend efficient resource allocation.
- Monitor monthly expenditure variance, ensuring alignment with plans.
- Investigate significant variances and implement necessary controls.
- Lead preparation, execution, and analysis of budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Develop comprehensive business cases for investment allocation and project proposals.
- Promote a culture where project authorities assess value, risk, and priority before submission.
- Support the evaluation of opportunities, risks, and efficiencies.
- Report KPI performance for assigned departments.
- Review internal controls and recommend enhancements.
- Present business cases to the Cost Management Committee.
- Improve costing processes for menu development and changes.
- Monitor general ledger accounts and resolve exceptional items promptly.
- Continuously improve systems and automation.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred). Qualified ACCA, ACA, CPA, CMA, CA, or related postgraduate qualification.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in internal finance systems.
- Experience meeting tight reporting timescales.
- Expertise in costing methodologies and cost-reduction techniques.
- Experience driving operational system improvements.
- Knowledge of cost‑centre accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Managed a large and diverse team.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of records and information.
- Strong analytical skills for variance review and business cycle impact analysis.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Data analysis and interpretation proficiency.
- Organizational ability to set priorities, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
- Self‑starter with minimal supervision.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Managerial skills: delegation, clear direction, workflow management, mentoring, coaching, and fostering teamwork.
