Senior Financial Analyst

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. This role analyses financial data, identifies trends, and provides recommendations to improve business performance. The position establishes financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems to maximize returns on financial assets. It also oversees year-end closing activities, ensures accurate preparation of annual audited financial statements, and reviews monthly accrued expenses.

• Perform financial analysis, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance and investment opportunities.
• Analyse financial data, market trends, and industry benchmarks to provide insights to senior management.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes and monitor financial performance.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and revenue improvement areas.
• Conduct financial reviews and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Support internal and external audits and oversee year-end closing procedures.
• Prepare financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and sales teams to support business decisions.
• Present financial findings clearly to senior management and board members.
• Stay updated on financial regulations and industry best practices.

• Advanced knowledge of financial analysis, financial modelling, ratio analysis, and valuation methods.
• Proficiency in Excel, financial systems, and data visualization tools.
• ERP knowledge is required, preferably SAP.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

• Minimum 8 years of total work experience, including at least 5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis; GCC experience of 2+ years is an advantage.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• CPA qualification is required or preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CFA or CIMA are an advantage.
