Junior Reserving Actuarial Analyst

Support with quarterly reserving, including preparation of IFRS
17-specific actuarial data with includes:

• creation of paid and outstanding claims triangles and reconciliation to the financials
• estimation of earned premiums
• estimation of claims IBNR reserves
• IFRS
  17 specific estimations
• support the external audit reviews.

Preparation of reserving reports such as the annual FC`R for Qatar or the quarterly packs for the Reserving Committees.

Interactions with key stakeholders across four countries (Qatar, UAE, Oman and Kuwait) with varying degrees of involvement and specifically with the Finance, IT, Underwriting, Reinsurance, and Claims departments

Support actuarial projects geared towards improving quality and granularity of the actuarial output and more automation.

• 1-2 years experience in General insurance.
• Effective communication skills - both written and spoken English is mandatory.
• Prior knowledge of ResQ or similar other non-life reserving tool desirable.
• IFRS 17 exposure desirable but not critical
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with data visualization tools and coding desirable.
• Educational requirements:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
