AboutThe Role
Delivers an exceptional service in all areas of the unit on which assigned. Provides effective operational support to the Airport Operations Agent and assists the team members on operational tasks.
Operational Responsibilities- Provide face‑to‑face customer assistance at Discover Qatar desks at Hamad International Airport to represent DQ Brand as a 5‑star Destination Management Company of Qatar Airways.
- Efficiently deliver tasks related to transit tour bookings, hotel bookings, meet and greet services and airport transfer services at HIA in compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures of DQ Leisure Operation.
- Communicate with airport staff and other Discover Qatar departments effectively to fulfill customer requirements necessary to achieve a seamless airport journey.
- Provide special assistance to customers with special requirements i.e., young travelers, elderly and passengers with reduced mobility in coordination with Special handling Team when necessary.
- Resolve minor complaints and provide alternatives to DQ customers having flight disruptions in regards to their tour, hotel or airport transfer booking amendments.
- Escalate out-of-hand situations promptly to senior team members using the appropriate escalation channels to ensure timely resolution of customer issues.
- Ensure full awareness of work health and safety requirements and expectations in order to minimize health and safety risks for self and colleagues.
- Take a direct and personal interest in reported injuries, incidents, near misses and hazards to ensure that appropriate reporting, investigation and response is being achieved.
- Actively promote and sell DQ Transit Tours and services offered at HIA and ensure assigned sales targets are met.
- Upsell or cross sell DQ products and services to maximize sales opportunities and achieve high revenue.
- Stay abreast of the latest DQ products and services, changes on service inclusions, terms of service and pricing to ensure accuracy on sales transactions.
- Perform sales reconciliation and prepare shift sales reports using office systems tools and booking/reservations systems.
- High school graduate with minimum of 2 years of job‑related experience.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
- Good knowledge of destination information and local market practices.
- Having a diploma in Travel and Tourism (IATA) will be an advantage.
- Must be able to speak one of the following languages:
Italian, Russian, Mandarin, Spanish.
