We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Electrification and Automation team in Doha, Qatar.
You’ll make an impact by:
Managing multiple Medium Voltage (MV) System
, MV Solution
, and Power Automation Solutions (PA SOL) projects within the time, budget, and quality frame. Your duties are categorized as follows:
- Overall planning of the project including project overview, contract structure, detailed planning of the work packages, resource planning, scheduling, project documentation, project organization, and interface management.
- Utilizing Siemens internal configuration and order management tools (OGT & NX-Tools) to manage factory transfers and equipment specifications.
- Managing the project completion/close-out and the acceptance of delivery units and services including validation and verification and organizing the finalized handover to the customer and involved parties.
- Setting up efficient workflows/processes for project controlling and reporting, which permit an up-to-date overview of the project status at any time.
- Analyzing and monitoring plan fulfillment continuously regarding technical and commercial aspects.
- Identifying early deviations in projects, identifying problem causes, and sustainably managing these deviations.
- Monitoring cash-flow planning and activating appropriate escalation procedures.
- Assessing and documenting project status.
- Carrying out risk assessments of project influencing factors and managing the identified risks.
- Ensuring strong proposal and contract management. Evaluating impacts of changed requirements/delivery items regarding costs, project plans, etc.
- Negotiating and documenting changes of requirements and extensions of time as appropriate.
- Informing customers, management, the project team, and additional stakeholders of the project status on a regular basis.
- Identifying further business possibilities from ongoing projects or the business environment and identifying the relevant customer decision-makers.
- Developing strategies to continue and/or reinforce engagement with the customer.
- Ensuring strong customer and stakeholder relations; actively gathering opinions and suggestions to facilitate an open, professional relationship.
- Managing subcontractor engagements and relationships.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- 5–7 years of project execution experience specifically for Medium Voltage (MV) system projects.
- Expert knowledge of configuration of MV Switchgear in NX-TOOLS and OGT is a pre-requisite.
- Proven experience managing diverse teams and the ability to work effectively across different cultures and demographics.
- Experience in project management with Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility within international projects.
- Experience in order execution for system projects with direct interfaces to customers, public authorities, subcontractors, and factories.
