of the Position
As Project Management Engineer you will respond/report to the Project Manager and be part of our company’s various projects within the Project Management Department.
Responsibilities Mission- Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and controlling project execution in compliance with client requirements, time and cost constraints, and HSE/Quality procedures.
- Support the Project Manager in managing technical and management topics such as:
- Internal and external interface management
- Contractual document review and issuance
- Project activity planning and reporting
- Subcontractor and supplier coordination
- Spare parts management and certifications
- Vendor assistance and guarantee claims management
- Analyze tender and contractual documents to identify scope, schedule, and constraints.
- Support preparation of the Project Execution Plan, Organization Charts, and Mobilization Plan.
- Assist in cost estimation for external services.
- Manage reporting for assigned project activities (subcontracts, vendors, interfaces).
- Assist in resource allocation and man-hour assessments.
- Prepare and manage:
- Risk Management Plan and Risk Register
- External Interfaces Management Procedure
- Spare Parts Procedure
- Project Record Books (PRB)
- Vendor Assistance on Site Procedure
- Guarantee Claims Management Procedure
- Back Charge Procedure
- Support change order management, claims, and dispute resolution.
- Coordinate communication tools and client relationship management.
- Assist in procurement activities, invoicing, and project close-out documentation.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related Management discipline.
- Minimum of 7-10+ years as a Project Management Engineer in Oil and Gas field / EPC projects.
- Proficient in English.
- Project Management Fundamentals:
Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Project Execution Plan (PEP), resource planning. - Risk Management:
Risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies. - Contractual & Commercial Awareness:
Understanding of EPC contracts, variations, claims, and back charges. - Interface Management:
Internal and external stakeholder coordination. - Quality & HSE Compliance: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 standards.
- Procurement & Vendor Management:
Spare parts handling, vendor assistance, guarantee claims. - Document Control & Reporting:
Project Record Books, dashboards, progress reports. - Cost Control & Scheduling:
Familiarity with cost estimation, progress measurement, and schedule control. - Commissioning & Close-Out:
Mechanical completion, punch list management, and handover documentation.
- Microsoft Office Suite:
Advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas), Word, PowerPoint, Outlook. - Planning Tools:
Primavera P6, MS Project. - ERP Systems: SAP or equivalent for procurement and cost control.
- Document Management Systems:
SharePoint, Aconex. - Data Analysis & Reporting Tools:
Power BI or similar for dashboards. - Collaboration Platforms:
Microsoft Teams.
