Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical TDP Draftsman (Roads O&M) to join our team in Doha, Qatar. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and modifying technical drawings for road operations and maintenance projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local standards.
Responsibilities- Prepare detailed technical drawings and plans for road maintenance and improvement projects using AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Interpret engineering designs, sketches, and specifications to create accurate 2D and 3D drawings
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and incorporate changes into drawings
- Ensure all drawings comply with local regulations and standards for road infrastructure in Qatar
- Maintain organized digital and physical files of project drawings and documentation
- Assist in field surveys and site visits to gather necessary data for drafting purposes
- Utilize GIS software to create and update maps related to road infrastructure
- Perform quantity takeoffs and assist in the preparation of cost estimates for road maintenance projects
- Review and verify drawings for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to established standards
- Stay updated on the latest drafting technologies and industry best practices
- Associate's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in drafting for road operations and maintenance projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software;
AutoCAD certification preferred - Strong knowledge of road design and maintenance principles
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Understanding of road construction and maintenance standards
- Knowledge of local regulations and standards for road infrastructure in Qatar
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Willingness to participate in occasional field visits and site surveys
