The Role- Ensure the effective delivery of flange management training in line with applicable standards, company procedures, and client requirements.
- Maintain technical accuracy and compliance with recognized standards (ECITB, company standards, etc).
- Uphold training quality, consistency, and safety across classroom and practical sessions.
- Ensure delegates’ competency development through structured assessment, feedback, and verification.
- Maintain training records, certification, and audit readiness in accordance with internal and external requirements.
- Act as a technical subject matter reference for flange management within the training function.
- Support continuous improvement of training materials and methods based on feedback, incidents, and industry updates.
- Deliver theoretical and practical flange management training, including:
- Flange assembly and disassembly
- Gasket selection and handling
- Bolt tightening methods (manual, hydraulic torque, and tensioning)
- Leak prevention and joint integrity principles
- Conduct hands-on demonstrations and supervised practical exercises using approved tools and equipment.
- Assess delegate competence through written tests, practical evaluations, and observations.
- Verify and endorse logbooks, assessments, and training outcomes where applicable.
- Ensure all training activities are conducted in accordance with HSE requirements, including risk assessments and toolbox talks.
- Inspect and ensure the correct use, calibration status, and care of tools and equipment used during training.
- Customize training delivery to meet client-specific procedures and operational environments, where required.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to trainees and junior trainers/assessors.
- Liaise with training coordinators, operations, and clients regarding scheduling, scope, and training outcomes.
- Participate in internal audits, client audits, and competency reviews as required.
- Maintain personal technical competence, certifications, and CPD relevant to flange management and joint integrity.
- Hydraulic torquing & tensioning bolting experience.
- Trainer/ Assessor
- Minimum 3 yrs of occupational experience in engineering/ construction sector
- Evidence of a training certificate
- Minimum 3 yrs of discipline specific experience for flange management
