Job Purpose
Provide technical advice with respect to Company Production Accounting and Environmental installed base of Measurement equipment, as well as provide engineering advice for any proposed future measurement equipment.
Key Job Accountabilities - I- Review Measurement Project Specifications and attend equipment Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) if required during the Front End Engineering and Design (FEED), and Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) stages of Projects. Attend Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and Commissioning during the site stages of the Project.
- Participate in external Meter Calibration witnessing, when required by the Company.
- Ensure all measurement systems and associated equipment are compliant with project specifications and meet Qatar Energy Measurement Guidelines and International Standards.
- Reviews project system uncertainties for all production accounting and environmental measurement systems to ensure they meet the Qatar Energy requirements.
- Provide technical advice and support as required on the design, construction, and initial operation of all measurement systems together with vendor and contractor support.
- Lead investigations relating to problems, design issues, recommend modifications and support implementation of modifications as required.
- Coordinate with the appropriate Company Maintenance and Operations Representative as required.
- Participate and assist as required in the upgrading of current procedures, or the creation of new procedures to meet the project handover requirements.
- Coordinate the activities of Equipment Vendors/Service vendors called out as required.
- Ensure review and recommend spare parts, non-stock material and tool requirements to allow proper maintenance of the systems as required.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- 6 years' hands on experience in metering engineering within an oil and gas environment.
- Full knowledge of all Measurement systems, including LNG, with specific experience on orifice, ultrasonic, coriolis and turbine technology, analyzer systems.
- Very knowledgeable with the relevant standards, in particular ISO, MPMS and AGA.
- Fluent in English language (demonstrated verbal and written skills).
- Computer literate and knowledgeable in relevant software tools and specifications.
