Primary Purpose of the Job
Deliver comprehensive project management for all assigned capital projects, overseeing every phase from inception through commissioning and final handover. Ensure timely completion within budget, maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance with all project requirements, specifications, and applicable standards.
Required Experience and Skills- At least 12 years of relevant experience in engineering, project management, and execution of oil & gas projects.
- Proven experience in managing and executing brownfield projects within the resource and petrochemical industry.
- Expertise in pipeline and downstream fuel distribution projects; experience with CNG stations is an advantage.
- Familiarity with dense phase CO₂ pipelines and process equipment; experience in mature field development, including Water Alternating Gas (WAG) injection schemes, is a plus.
- Extensive background in managing brownfield petrochemical refinery projects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently as a client/owner representative, preferably with an International Oil Company (IOC).
- Strong experience in engineering coordination across multiple disciplines during feasibility studies, concept optimization, FEED, and EPIC phases.
- Skilled practitioner in:
- Managing engineering definition activities.
- Integrating operational requirements and philosophies into projects.
- Overseeing detailed design, construction, commissioning, start‑up, handover, and close‑out.
- Developing project execution strategies and plans.
- Managing project interfaces, change management (MOC), performance communication, and risk identification.
- Scheduling and resource planning, including WBS development with planning teams.
- Controlling project cost and budget.
- Managing contracts, including changes and variations.
- Understanding and managing GCOCs.
- Handling procurement of long‑lead equipment and materials.
- Resolving contractor claims.
- Identifying and mitigating HSE risks.
- Effective communication and team-building capabilities.
- Strong presentation and report-writing skills.
- Proficient in managing meetings and stakeholder engagement.
- B.Sc. Degree in an Engineering discipline from any recognized University; higher degree would be advantageous.
- Membership in a recognized professional engineering and/or project management association/institution would be an advantage.
