The facility supports customers across Qatar and the wider Middle East & Africa region, ensuring measurement accuracy, operational reliability, and fast turnaround times.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Calibration Engineer to support the Measurement Solutions business. Job Responsibilities Calibration & Technical Execution- Perform calibration of flow measurement equipment (e.g., Coriolis, Ultrasonic, Turbine) in accordance with international standards and Emerson internal procedures.
- Conduct functional inspections and performance verification to ensure meters meet manufacturer and customer specifications.
- Diagnose, repair, and upgrade flow meters and transmitters following Emerson’s approved service procedures and quality standards.
- Prepare, review, and update calibration procedures, work instructions, and calibration reports in line with ISO/IEC 17025 and Emerson Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
- Generate calibration certificates with full traceability and measurement uncertainty statements.
- Maintain calibration records, reference standard logs, and equipment maintenance schedules.
- Participate in internal and external ISO/IEC 17025 and QMS audits, supporting continuous compliance and improvement.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance calibration accuracy, efficiency, and turnaround time.
- Lead and support corrective actions related to nonconformities or quality issues in the calibration process.
- Manage service requests and RMA cases using the Depot Repair Module and ensure timely closure of customer issues.
- Support training of junior technicians and contribute to the technical development of the calibration team.
- Adhere to Emerson’s Safety and Ethics Policies at all times, taking proactive measures to prevent incidents and unsafe conditions.
- Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement across all calibration activities.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5-7 years hands‑on experience in the field instrumentation/field calibration/ flow metering system industry.
- Previous experience working in a Flow Calibration Lab.
- Preferably in an ISO 17025 accredited lab.
- Knowledge of various flow measurement principles (Electromagnetic, Ultrasonic, Coriolis, Turbine, DP).
- Understanding of ISO/IEC 17025, uncertainty analysis, and metrology fundamentals.
- Application knowledge and exposure to Emerson flow products.
- Familiarity with calibration management software and data acquisition systems.
