Senior Architectural Engineer

Senior Architectural Engineer – Doha, Qatar

We are looking to hire a Senior Architectural Engineer for a national oil and gas operator in Doha Qatar. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant postgraduate experience, of which 6 years should be related to the Oil & Gas industry. Fluency in English is a must.

• Provide technical design and engineering services in Architectural Engineering for all assigned projects, ensuring technical quality in accordance with client procedures while considering schedule, cost, and HSE.
• Conduct Architectural Engineering activities and in‑house site surveys from initial concept definition through FEED, detailed design, and commissioning.
• Incorporate and enforce client technical assurance practices, engineering standards, environmental and safety policies, and review technical deviations and variations to approved guidelines, codes, standards, and practices.
• Support the Engineering Department in reviewing, updating, and applying client standards and external standards.
• Plan and coordinate activities of a multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver timely technical services that meet project requirements.
• Coordinate engineering designs, develop and review multidisciplinary work scopes, ensuring they are comprehensive and clear.
• Review and approve method statements developed by contracted organisations for scope compliance and liaise with them to resolve technical issues.
• Develop, update, and monitor schedules for in‑house engineering activities and contribute to external FEED/EPIC scheduling activities for effective project delivery.
• Conduct evaluation of technical bid packages for scope compliance.
• Review and evaluate Contract Changes/Variations to approved guidelines and practices.
• Support the development of personal technical competency and skills, participate in structured training for Associate Engineers.

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
• Chartered or professional engineer status, or equivalent, is preferable.
• 10 years of relevant postgraduate experience, of which 6 years should relate to the Oil & Gas industry.
• Ability to identify and utilise relevant engineering standards and codes related to Architectural Engineering.
• Proven ability to manage time, cost, and quality in engineering projects within a multiple project environment.
• Fluency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills and proficiency for conducting presentations.
