Job Details Key Activities / Responsibilities Reservoir Surveillance & Management
- Identify, plan, and closely follow up on reservoir surveillance programs for the Kharaib reservoir.
- Define and monitor reservoir management activities to maximize production, improve voidage replacement, and minimize production decline.
- Review well and well-pattern performance and recommend remedial actions.
- Optimize, execute, and monitor Water Alternating Gas (WAG) cycles.
- Support the maturation, execution, and monitoring of surfactant pilot programs.
- Contribute to the development and execution of annual reservoir management plans.
- Prepare and present quarterly reservoir management reviews to stakeholders.
- Perform detailed well performance analysis and post-mortem reviews for new wells and work overs.
- Conduct reservoir simulation and special studies to improve well performance and recovery.
- Use segmented well modeling (IX), including 3D and single-well models, to optimize and design Kharaib wells.
- Execute simulation studies to optimize water and WAG injection, improve void age replacement, and support short-term forecasting.
- Integrate simulation results with 4D seismic data to identify optimal zonal shifting and injection strategies to improve sweep efficiency.
- Define completion strategies for future wells supported by simulation and seismic studies.
- Generate monthly unconstrained production profiles to support rolling short-term forecasts.
- Perform decline curve analysis and assess production trends.
- Maintain accurate tracking and follow-up of reservoir performance indicators.
- Identify, rank, and mature production and injection opportunities (re-drills, work overs, tubing change-outs, integrity work overs, stimulation) through Final Investment Decision (FID).
- Lead light work over maturation activities through final Scope of Requirement (SOR).
- Maintain and manage the opportunities hopper, ensuring timely follow-up and closure.
- Support well intervention planning and execution throughout the work-over SOR process.
- Support integrated asset modeling activities by providing inputs to reserves and profiling teams.
- Support IRM and planning teams by providing unconstrained production profiles and analysis.
- Collaborate effectively with operations, drilling & wells, projects, and engineering teams.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing.
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Reservoir Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Reservoir Engineering or Petroleum Engineering.
- Minimum 6+ years of experience within a subsurface or reservoir engineering organization.
- Hands-on experience in reservoir management and surveillance of operated assets.
- Strong experience in dynamic reservoir modeling and history matching using tools such as Eclipse, IX, and Petrel
.
- In-depth understanding of reservoir management and surveillance processes.
- Strong analytical capability with a detail-oriented, action-driven mindset.
- Proven ability to collaborate and influence across multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to build effective internal and external professional networks.
