Overview

As a Cluster Assistant Chief Engineer, you will address all maintenance issues within the property, ensuring an excellent guest and member experience through daily checks, equipment repair, renovation coordination, and emergency program development.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or related field)
- Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering
- Positive attitude and excellent grooming standards
- Good communication skills
- Committed to delivering a high level of customer service
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
- Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative
- Previous experience in a management role
- First Aid certification
- Arabic speaker (advantageous)
- Responsible for all maintenance issues within the hotel
- Perform daily checks around the hotel and ensure all fixtures and fittings are safe
- Conduct lift emergency release procedures as required
- Diagnose, maintain and repair mechanical equipment within the hotel
- Develop, implement and direct all emergency programs and energy conservation programs to minimize expenses
- Coordinate renovation bidding, define cost and scope of projects, and oversee general contractors and subcontractors to ensure quality work is performed cost‑effectively
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
- Responsible for the health and safety of the property, ensuring monthly safety inspections take place and employees are trained accordingly
- Maintain good relationships with internal and external customers
