Audio-Visual; AV Consultant

Black & Grey HR is recruiting for an established technology solutions and services provider in Doha, Qatar. Our client is seeking an experienced Audio-Visual (AV) Consultant to lead the design, specification, and integration of large-scale AV systems for stadiums, arenas, corporate campuses, and public venues. This role is critical in delivering scalable, reliable, and networked AV solutions that meet international standards while providing a world-class experience for spectators, performers, and operators.

• Lead the design and specification of audio, video, and control systems for large venues, stadiums, arenas, and multipurpose facilities.
• Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including schematics, signal flow diagrams, loudspeaker layouts, LED positioning, and network diagrams.
• Perform acoustic modeling using EASE and Soundvision to ensure optimal coverage, intelligibility, and system performance.
• Design and integrate giant LED screens, scoreboards, ribbon boards, and control room display systems.
• Develop and integrate timing & scoring solutions with AV systems, displays, and broadcast networks.
• Design IP-networked AV systems, including audio-over-IP, video-over-IP, and control systems integrated with IT infrastructure.
• Ensure system designs meet requirements for scalability, redundancy, reliability, and lifecycle management.

• Coordinate with engineers, IT teams, and venue operators to ensure compliance with technical, operational, and budget requirements.
• Manage site surveys, commissioning, tuning, and final verification of AV systems.
• Oversee performance validation for acoustic, video, and networked AV solutions.
• Collaborate with vendors, manufacturers, and system integrators to achieve design intent and project objectives.

• Experience
  • Minimum 10 years of professional AV consulting and design experience.
  • Proven experience delivering AV solutions for large venues, stadiums, arenas, or corporate campuses.
  • Strong background in LED video display systems, giant scoreboards, video walls, and timing & scoring solution design.
• Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Acoustics, Audio Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).

  • Dante Level 3 Certification
  • Manufacturer certifications such as L-Acoustics, Bosch, Bose, Meyer Sound, Daktronics, Infiled, Novastar, Q-SYS, Extron, or equivalent
• Technical Skills
  • Advanced expertise in EASE / Soundvision acoustic modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of IP networking for AV systems, including configuration, routing, and IT integration.
  • Excellent technical documentation, presentation, and client communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of project lifecycle management for large-scale AV deployments.
