Commissioning Coordinator
Primary Purpose of the Job
Commissioning Coordinator (SIMOPS) operates under the direction and authority of the Commissioning Team Leader and Operation Readiness Head to communicate all potential work tasks, to prevent conflicts in the form of unsafe conditions between all groups working in the facility.
Responsible for coordinating and facilitating the Permit to Work (PTW) tasks and Job Safety Analysis (JSA), ensuring that all documentation is accurately completed, communicated to all relevant parties, and posted as required. This role involves maintaining comprehensive reports of permits and work tasks specific to different project areas. The Sim Ops Engineer also oversees contractor activities, assessing risks, conditions, and project priorities to ensure that work is executed safely and in compliance with project requirements.
By managing these aspects effectively, the Sim Ops Engineer helps ensure smooth operations and adherence to safety and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in design, construction, handover, commissioning and start-up of oil & gas processing and production facilities (Onshore/Offshore), preferably with EPIC contracting companies of which a minimum eight (8) years Commissioning Coordinator/Team Leader/Equivalent
- Experience in operations, maintenance, and projects’ pre-commissioning, commissioning, start up and Hand-over activities.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
- Relevant technical expertise. Multi-discipline engineering exposure with troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Good IT and analytical skills with the ability to work well under pressure
Bachelor’s degree in engineering Discipline preferably Chemical / Process / Mechanical Engineering. Chartered Engineer status or equivalent is preferable.
