Job Title: Construction Lead (Mechanical)

Location: Oman

Job Purpose

Lead and manage the EPC Contractor for the safe and successful execution of topsides mechanical work scopes to meet overall project objectives. Ensure compliance with HSE, quality standards, planning, and efficient delivery. Additionally, ensure constructability of the design aligns with established engineering drawings, industry processes, and standards. Effectively manage issues and resolutions through strong interfaces with both company and contractor teams, delivering full alignment during fabrication execution.

• Manage and ensure successful execution of topsides mechanical equipment.
• Monitor fabrication project components to meet prioritized objectives:
  Safety, Quality, Schedule, and others as appropriate.
• Oversee large rotating gas compressor (turbine-driven) packages and large gas turbine generator units.
• Ensure knowledge and integration of HVAC systems for offshore Electrical & Instrument LER rooms.
• Drive constructability reviews and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
• Interface with contractors and internal teams to resolve technical and execution issues promptly.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences or Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Experience:
  • Minimum 8 years in construction-related disciplines (construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook-up) within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • At least 1 year in a supervisory role (including acting roles or oversight of service/vendor personnel).
  • Additional relevant work experience may substitute for technical education.
• Strong knowledge of project execution procedures and field management techniques, including fabrication, welding, lifting, mechanical testing, and completions.
• Experience with Oil & Gas companies, contractors, service companies, or heavy construction companies.
• Familiarity with large-scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, and Subsurface.
