Senior Civil/Structural Engineer (Offshore) – Doha, Qatar

We are looking to hire a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer (Offshore) for a national oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant post‑graduate experience, including at least 6 years in the Oil & Gas industry. Fluency in English is a must.

• Provide technical design and engineering services in Civil/Structural Engineering (Offshore) for assigned projects, ensuring technical quality, schedule, cost, and HSE compliance.
• Conduct engineering activities and in‑house site surveys from concept definition through FEED detailed design and commissioning.
• Ensure client technical assurance practices, engineering standards, environmental and safety policies are incorporated and followed.
• Review technical deviations and variations against approved guidelines, codes, and standards.
• Support the Engineering Department in reviewing, updating, and applying client and external standards.
• Plan and coordinate activities of a multidisciplinary team to deliver timely technical services.
• Coordinate engineering designs, develop and review multidisciplinary work scopes, and ensure clarity.
• Review and approve method statements from contracted organisations and liaise for technical issue resolution.
• Develop, update, and monitor schedules for in‑house engineering activities and contribute to external FEED/EPIC scheduling.
• Evaluate technical bid packages for scope compliance.
• Review and evaluate contract changes/variations per approved guidelines and practices.
• Support the development of technical competency for personal and team growth, including structured training for associate engineers.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered/Professional Engineer status or equivalent (preferred).
• 10 years of post‑graduate experience, with at least 6 years in Oil & Gas.
• Ability to identify and apply relevant engineering standards and codes for offshore civil/structural projects.
• Proven ability to manage time, cost, and quality in multi‑project environments.
• Fluency in English with strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.

• USCG, ISO, Deck Equipment, Diesel Engines, Marine Engineering, PMS, Shipyard, HVAC, Electrical Systems, Routine Maintenance, AutoCAD, Fuel Systems, Technical Support, Technical Reports, Air Compressors.
