Traffic – Senior Civil 3D Modeler

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Traffic – Senior Civil 3D Modeler to join our team in Doha, Qatar!

In this role, you will be responsible for developing 2D designs and 3D models for Signs & Marking, Directional Signs, Traffic Signals, and ITS/UGN systems using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D software. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications while delivering high-quality traffic design models.

• Develop accurate and detailed 2D designs and 3D models for Signs & Marking, Directional Signs, Traffic Signals, and ITS/UGN systems using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
• Perform dimensional and routine calculations required for drawing preparation and ensure accuracy in layouts and drawings.
• Utilize a CAD workstation to prepare engineering drawings and models, including layout plans, profiles, cross-sections, structure details, assemblies, and multiview blocks, based on rough sketches or general engineering information.
• Collaborate with design engineers to develop and finalize design drawings and 3D models for assigned projects.
• Perform clash analysis, generate clash reports, and update 3D models as per design changes.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare detailed reports.
• Ensure compliance with CAD standards, ISO 19650 workflows, and approval processes.
• Utilize technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and company policies.
• Perform quality checks on drawings and models, making adjustments as necessary to ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
• Maintain a working knowledge of highways, signs and marking, directional signs, traffic signal, and ITS/UGN drawings.
• Effectively manage multiple projects and meet project deadlines.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

• Associate’s or equivalent technical degree/diploma in engineering or a related field, or equivalent technical certification from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience working on Traffic and Highways projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Navisworks.
• Experienced user of Project Wise/ACC Navigator with a strong understanding of drawing/document management procedures.
• Strong knowledge of traffic design disciplines, including Signs & Marking, Directional Signs, Traffic Signals, and ITS/UGN systems.

• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with project teams and internal stakeholders.
• Familiarity with ISO 19650 workflows and approval processes.
• Experience in performing clash analysis and generating clash reports.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of highways and traffic-related standards and codes.
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
