Derrick Foreman – Offshore Jackup Rig

Location: Offshore Qatar (North Field Expansion, Contracted Rigs),
Employment Type: Rotational (42 on/21 off),
Reporting To: Driller / Rig Superintendent
- Derrick Operations Leadership:
Supervise all derrick operations during drilling, casing, and tripping;
Direct floormen and roughnecks in pipe handling and racking;
Monitor load weights and derrick structural integrity. - Drilling Support:
Oversee BHA makeup/breakout indoors;
Manage mud mixing/transfer operations. - Safety & Compliance:
Enforce Qatar Energy (QP) DROPS program;
Conduct daily derrick inspections of cables, sheaves, safety equipment. - Equipment Maintenance:
Supervise lubrication and minor repairs of derrick equipment;
Coordinate with mechanical crew for major repairs.
- 5+ years offshore experience (3+ as Derrickman/Foreman)
- IWCF Level 2 Well Control Certification
- BOSIET/FOET with HUET (Offshore Survival & HUET)
- QP Medical Certificate
- Rigging/Slinging Certification
- Arabic language skills (advantage for Qatari crews)
