We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Principal to lead the Elementary Boys’ Stream (Pre‑K to Grade
5) at a prestigious American‑curriculum international school in Qatar. This is a pivotal role for a leader who excels at balancing high academic standards with a robust, supportive pastoral environment.
Supporting approximately 800 students, you will be the driving force behind instructional excellence and student well‑being. This role is ideal for an ambitious Middle Leader looking for their next step or an established AP who thrives in a culturally diverse, single‑gender educational setting.
The Role- Instructional Leadership: Lead the implementation of the American curriculum, mentoring teachers to deliver data‑driven, high‑impact instruction.
- Pastoral & Behaviour Support: Foster a positive school culture for boys, implementing proactive behaviour management strategies and supporting student emotional growth.
- Operational Management: Work closely with the Elementary Principal to oversee daily operations, staff scheduling, and school events.
- Community Engagement: Act as a key point of contact for parents, building strong relationships within the local and international community.
- Experience: Proven experience at Assistant Principal level (or significant Middle Leadership experience) covering both academic and pastoral remits.
- Qualifications: A valid teaching license/qualification is essential. A Master’s degree or leadership qualification (NPQH, M.Ed Leadership) is highly desirable.
- Curriculum: Strong working knowledge of the American Common Core standards.
- Cultural Competence: Experience in the Middle East or working with ESL/ELL learners is an advantage. Arabic language skills are a plus.
