Position: Freelance Dangerous Goods (DG) Trainer

Overview

Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time / Contract

Job Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Dangerous Goods (DG) Trainer to deliver comprehensive training programs covering the handling, management, and safety procedures associated with dangerous goods. The trainer will design and deliver training modules, conduct practical simulations, and assess participants to ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver training on DG identification, handling, containment, spill response, and disposal procedures
    .
  • Conduct practical sessions and simulations covering real-life DG scenarios (solid, liquid, and gas states).
  • Train participants on personal protective equipment (PPE) selection, usage, limitations, and maintenance for different DG classes, including Class 6.1.
  • Educate participants on incident reporting, documentation, and regulatory compliance
    .
  • Guide learners in spill neutralization, decontamination, and concealment techniques
    , emphasizing environmental and personnel safety.
  • Customize training content according to organizational needs and regulatory updates.
  • Maintain training records and ensure all training complies with local and international safety regulations
    .

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field
    .
  • Minimum 3–5 years experience in dangerous goods management, HSE training, or related industry.
  • IATA Dangerous Goods Certification is required.
  • Strong knowledge of local and international DG regulations (IMDG, IATA, OSHA, etc.).
  • Proven experience in training delivery
    , including classroom and practical scenarios.
  • Only experienced trainers with relevant DG training experience will be considered.
  • Ability to design and customize training content.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for emergency DG scenarios.
  • High attention to detail and safety compliance.
  • Ability to engage and motivate learners.
  • Proficiency in training tools, simulations, and assessment methods.
