Middle School Math Teacher
We are seeking a skilled and student‑focused Middle School Math Teacher to support learners in Grades 6‑8 (aged 9‑13) at a prestigious international school in Qatar. The role emphasises conceptual understanding, problem‑solving, and real‑world application while responding to varied learning needs during a critical developmental stage.
Job Location:
Qatar (relocation). Interview will be held in London, UK, from Friday 16th to Sunday 18th January 2026.
Start date:
August 2026.
- Design and deliver engaging math lessons aligned with middle school standards, including number sense, ratios and proportions, expressions and equations, geometry, and data analysis.
- Use differentiated instruction to support a wide range of readiness levels, learning profiles, and support needs.
- Build a classroom culture focused on curiosity, persistence, and positive attitudes toward mathematics.
- Use formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and inform instruction.
- Provide targeted support and enrichment through small‑group instruction and individualised strategies.
- Support students in developing mathematical reasoning, academic language, and problem‑solving strategies.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions and learn from errors.
- Collaborate with colleagues, learning support staff, and families to support academic and social development.
- Reflect on practice and adjust instructional approaches to improve student engagement and outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification, license, or equivalency with at least 3 years of teaching experience.
- Experience teaching middle school mathematics, preferably in inclusive or diverse classroom settings.
- Strong skill in differentiating instruction and scaffolding concepts for varied learners.
- Clear communication, strong organization, and effective classroom management skills.
- Commitment to helping adolescents develop confidence, resilience, and strong mathematical foundations.
Requirements: UK QTS essential.
Salary: Competitive DOE.
