Job SummaryThe AV Design & Content Specialist is responsible for the development, design, and deployment of audiovisual content and interactive media for museum exhibitions, galleries, and public spaces. This role combines technical AV knowledge with creative design skills to deliver immersive visitor experiences in alignment with curatorial vision standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and implement multimedia content for exhibitions and installations, including:
Video and animation content
Interactive touchscreens, kiosks, and digital exhibits
Projection mapping and immersive media experiences
Audio-visual presentations for galleries, theaters, and events
Collaborate with curators, exhibition designers, and AV operations teams to ensure content aligns with storytelling and visitor engagement objectives.
Manage content playback systems, servers, and media distribution platforms.
Conduct content testing, troubleshooting, and optimization for AV systems.
Maintain and update multimedia libraries, asset management systems, and documentation.
Provide creative input for new exhibition concepts and multimedia experiences.
Ensure content meets technical specifications, quality standards, and accessibility requirements.
Assist in commissioning and handover of AV systems with fully integrated content.
Stay updated on emerging AV technologies, multimedia tools, and industry best practices.
Train AV operations and multimedia staff on content playback, updates, and basic troubleshooting.
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Multimedia Design, Digital Media, AV Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in AV content creation and multimedia design, preferably in museums, cultural institutions, or public attractions.
Strong understanding of interactive media design, digital storytelling, and immersive experiences.
Experience with video production, animation, projection mapping, and 3D content development.
Familiarity with AV playback systems, media servers (e.g., Watchout, Q-SYS, Bright Sign), and content management platforms.
Strong creative and visual design skills.
Hands‑on experience with AV software tools (Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Auto Desk Maya, Unity/Touch Designer – as applicable).
Good understanding of AV systems, signal flow, and content playback requirements.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and project coordination skills.
Ability to work in a live museum environment with attention to detail and visitor experience focus.
AVIXA CTS-D (Design) or related AV certification.
Multimedia/Animation software certifications (Adobe, Autodesk, etc.).
Basic networking or IT certification (added advantage).
