As the business expands, we are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to be part of Qatar Airways Cargo’s Business Insights team in Doha as the Head of Cargo Business insights.
About the roleIn this role, you will be responsible for leading the development, planning and implementation of data strategy by providing analytics and governance to maximize revenue and profit generation across the regions and ensure achievement of budget targets. You will manage a central team which provides insightful analytics to key stakeholders across all regions covering commercial, operations and revenue management to ensure data driven decisions are made to achieve business objectives.
As part of your role, your additional responsibilities will include the following:
Strategic- Define and execute the Cargo Business Insights strategy aligned with the overall Cargo and Corporate Planning strategy
- Act as the senior commercial insights partner to Cargo leadership, providing fact based recommendations on revenue performance, market dynamics, and strategic initiatives
- Oversee the analysis of cargo revenue, yield, volume, capacity, load factors, customer segments, and product performance at network, regional, POS, and route levels
- Lead competitive and market intelligence, including market share, pricing dynamics, trade flows, macro economic and geo political impacts on air cargo
- Ensure insights are clearly communicated to senior management through executive ready dashboards, reports, and presentations
- Provide insights to Chief Cargo Officer and VP Corporate Planning and BI on daily basis on commercial performance of the airline highlighting challenges and opportunities by looking at both flown and forward data
- Own and govern the cargo revenue forecasting framework, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timely updates
- Lead the analytical input into the annual budget and long term planning cycles, including scenario analysis and risk/opportunity identification
- Partner closely with Revenue Management, Network Planning, Sales, and Finance to align assumptions and outcomes
- Translate complex analysis into clear, concise commercial narratives tailored to different audiences
- Lead executive forums, commercial reviews, and strategic decision making processes with robust insights
- Lead, develop, and inspire a global team of Business Insights managers, analysts, and specialists

Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 10 years of job‑related experience, preferably within the cargo airline or freight forwarded environment
