Assistant Purchasing Manager

IHG Hotels & Resorts is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Purchasing Manager to manage the procurement function and ensure the timely sourcing of goods and services at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards and compliance with company policies in Qatar.

• Manage daily purchasing operations for all departments
• Source and procure goods and services in line with approved specifications and budgets
• Coordinate with suppliers, negotiate pricing and ensure timely delivery
• Monitor inventory levels and support stock control processes
• Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, procedures and audit requirements
• Review purchase requisitions, purchase orders and supplier invoices
• Lead cost control initiatives and budget management
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and prepare reports
• Liaise closely with Finance, Operations and Stores teams

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Hospitality Management or related field (preferred)
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in hospitality
• Strong knowledge of procurement systems and inventory management
• Good negotiation, analytical and organisational skills
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
