Wine & Spirits Sales Rep - Western Kansas

Overview

Position Title: Sales Representative.

Industry: Wine and Spirits Distribution.

Location: Western Kansas.

Handcrafted Wines of Kansas is a privately owned distributor of wine and spirits with a fun and casual work environment. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a sales representative role for a well established sales territory covering Western Kansas. This position is an off-premise (retail liquor stores) focused role, but all restaurants and bars in the territory are available for you to sell to as well.

This sales territory is geographically vast, and as such it will require a decent amount of drive time. Handcrafted Wines will provide a vehicle and cover all related insurance, fuel and maintenance costs of the company vehicle. This route may also require overnights from time to time (1-2 per month) to efficiently cover the territory. The ideal candidate would already live in Western Kansas, preferably in Hays, Dodge City, or Garden City.

• Sell to and merchandise products to retail liquor store accounts.
• Sell to restaurants, helping to craft wine lists and cocktail menus using our products.
• Train restaurant staff on the details of our products.
• Work with restaurants to set up and conduct wine and spirits dinners that highlight our products.

• A self-starter with the ability to work independently is a must.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Dependable transportation required with no MVR violations.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 40lbs.
• Previous sales experience preferred.
• Previous experience in the wine and spirits industry preferred.
• Previous wine and spirits distribution experience is a plus.
• Associates degree preferred but not required.
• Occasional overnight trips to cover the sales territory efficiently may be required.
• Occasional trips to Lenexa, KS for sales meetings.
