Overview
Job Title: Nutrition Inventory, Delivery & Maintenance Worker
Location: Nutrition
Payment Rate: In accordance with the USD 443 Salary Schedule - Hourly Wage Range: $17.34 - $28.90
Evaluation & Benefits: In accordance with the USD 443 Classified Handbook
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Food Service Director
PURPOSE: This position is responsible for providing food, receiving and delivery, which contribute to the efficiency and production of the district Nutrition program.
Responsibilities- Assist with delivery and/or storage of nutrition equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Accept shipment and check for accuracy, price and quality of products received both consumable and durable, to ensure the kitchens receive all that have been ordered.
- Responsible for quality control.
- Operate within Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS).
- Will report health or safety hazards promptly to the supervisor.
- Observe health and safety procedures as required by district policies and guidelines.
- Attend / complete yearly required online safety training and safety & sanitation KSDE class.
- React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.
- Have working knowledge of all phases of the distribution department / maintenance department.
- Will assist the Maintenance Department three (3) months in the summer (May-July).
Employment Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: One year of inventory and delivery experience is preferred.
- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Effective communication skills in both oral and written form.
- Have the ability to work independently with or without direct supervision.
- Basic Computer skills.
- Commitment and discretion to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work with people in various work environments.
- Current Kansas Driver's license and good driving record.
- Knowledge regarding local, state, and/or federal regulations for program operations.
- The employee is regularly required to sit and stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk and hear.
- The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds alone or up to 100 pounds with help.
- Ability to drive for transporting food and other duties.
- The work environment is in an office, vehicle, and kitchen setting. May contain heat and cold.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
