• Position: Registered Nurse (RN), Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg), Night Shift
• Setting: Acute Care – Medical/Surgical Unit (Med/Surg)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (March 30, 2026 – June 29, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) — Night shift RN
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend & Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and holiday
• Charting System: EPIC (experience preferred)
• Scrub Color: Any (close-toed shoes required)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,130–$2,250 per week

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or proof of application in process (Illinois nursing jobs, travel nurse applications accepted)
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Ability to work every other weekend and holiday as scheduled
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills
• Must pass a comprehensive drug screen (drug-free campus)

• Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care to patients on a 23-bed (4th floor) and 14-bed (3rd floor) Med/Surg unit
• Manage patient assignments with typical ratios of 1:5 (up to 1:7 as needed)
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions; administer medications; and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
• Sign off on telemetry strips throughout the shift (telemetry techs scheduled to read strips)
• Collaborate with Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) working at a 1:8 ratio
• Float to ICU, ER, or Behavioral Health Care (BHC) when experienced and as needed—cross?training opportunities for acute care RNs
• Complete department-specific orientation and participate in ongoing professional development
• Maintain excellent hygiene and adhere to all safety and infection control protocols
