The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatic circuitry to support production schedules.
Duties and Responsibilities- Assembles machinery, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic circuitry, and more according to directions.
- Reads blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, and builds to those specifications.
- Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned task.
- Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies.
- Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; contacts materials handler if supplies are needed.
- Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor.
- Maintain a safe clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Fulltime role based in Dixon, IL
- Day Shift: Monday - Thursday 6:30am - 5pm
- Overtime may be required
- Eligible for the Sewer Equipment Productivity Bonus, paid quarterly. Average 2025 payout was $7/hour. Payouts are based on overall company profitability, productivity, warranty, and attendance.
- $500 sign on bonus, paid after 90 days of employment

- Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
- Detail-oriented and consistent.
- Works well as a productive member of a team.
- Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment.
- Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing.
- 1-year mechanical experience
- Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at a time.
- Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
