We’re looking for a Customs Compliance Specialist who thrives in a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented environment and is passionate about international trade. In this role, you’ll ensure our company and its subsidiaries stay fully compliant with U.S. and Canadian customs regulations while enabling smooth, cost‑efficient cross‑border operations. Your precision, analytical mindset, and regulatory knowledge will directly support our financial performance and global supply chain success.

• Customs Reporting & Oversight — Retrieve and analyze customs reports from the ACES (U.S.) and CARM (Canada) portals to maintain full visibility into import/export activity.
• Import/Export Audits — Conduct weekly audits to verify billing accuracy, prevent unnecessary charges, and resolve discrepancies quickly.
• HTS Code Governance — Review and optimize HTS classifications for U.S. imports, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and cost savings—especially for new products.
• Tariff Compliance Leadership — Monitor Chapter 9903 tariffs, exemptions, Section 232 applicability, and evolving IEEPA/Section 301 regulations. Communicate risks and regulatory changes to internal stakeholders.
• EDI & HTS File Management — Maintain master HTS files for EDI with U.S. Customs and Border Protection to ensure clean, accurate data flow.
• Invoice Accuracy & Optimization — Validate commercial invoices for correct descriptions, values, tariff designations, exemptions, and HTS assignments.
• Financial Insight — Deliver timely tariff‑related cost reporting to the CFO to support budgeting and strategic planning.
• Product & Tariff Review — Audit new products for correct HTS codes and track tariff changes that impact cost and compliance.
• Global Sourcing Support — Identify optimal regional tariffs to guide strategic sourcing and drive cost efficiencies.
• Tariff Disputes & Protests — Identify overcharges, file post‑entry corrections, and maintain precise documentation to minimize risk.
• USMCA Management — Oversee USMCA data and issue annual Certificates of Origin.
• Canadian Tariff Drawback — Plan and execute annual drawback processes to recover eligible duties.
• Broker Relationship Management — Build strong partnerships with customs brokers to ensure efficient, compliant clearance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Logistics, or related field—or equivalent experience.
• Certifications such as CCS, CIS, or a U.S. Customs Broker License are highly desirable.
• Experience in global sourcing, trade compliance, or customs operations, ideally in a multinational environment.
• Strong understanding of U.S. and Canadian customs regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements (including USMCA).
• Proven ability to manage customs documentation, tariff protests, and post‑entry corrections.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Canadian tariff drawback processes and customs brokerage management is a plus.
• Automotive industry experience preferred.
