Description

The City of Dixon is pleased to announce an exciting career opportunity! We are currently recruiting for the position of Public Works Operations & Maintenance Superintendent (Manager) in our dynamic Public Works Department. This key leadership role plays a vital part in shaping the heart of our community. This position will be responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising a wide range of Public Works Operations - including maintenance and operations of parks, landscaped areas, recreation facilities, streetscapes, streets, municipal buildings and facilities, and fleet.

This is a mid-management classification with broad responsibility for overseeing Public Works Operations. The Superintendent is entrusted with a variety of complex, high-level managerial and supervisory duties and receives administrative direction from the Public Works Director. The role also involves both direct and indirect supervision of Public Works Operations personnel.

Exam Process: A limited number of candidates whose applications indicate that they, among those competing, are better qualified in terms of related education, training and experience may be invited to participate in a written exam and/or an interview process (weighted 100%). The most qualified candidates from this process will be placed on an employment eligibility list.
