JOB SUMMARY

Cowessess Community Educational Centre (CCEC) is seeking a dedicated and dynamic educator committed to delivering high-quality instruction and serving as a positive role model for students. The successful candidate will serve as the Grade 12 Homeroom Teacher, supporting students in their final year of high school, will be responsible for teaching high school Math and Science courses and working collaboratively within a strong and supportive CCEC team.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • A valid Class 4 Saskatchewan Education Teaching Certificate is required.
  • A Bachelor of Education degree is considered a strong asset.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Treaty Education and/or traditional Treaty teachings.
  • Solid understanding of K-12 curriculum outcomes, whether local, provincial, or territorial.
  • Familiarity with current literacy practices and instructional strategies across PreK to Grade 12.
  • Strong working knowledge of assessment for learning principles and various assessment tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly competent in Microsoft Office programs (especially Word and Excel) as well as online learning platforms.
  • Ability to maintain an organized filing system, both physical and electronic.
  • Understanding of First Nation governance structure and the First Nations education system.
  • Ability to follow directions, work independently, and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Highly organized, punctual, reliable, and capable of maintaining strict confidentiality.
