We are looking for our future Warehouse Operative to join our Warehouse team in GB.
Let's talk about the role:
The Warehouse Colleague is responsible for carrying out a range of warehouse tasks to support the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of goods. This includes receiving stock, picking and packing orders, operating equipment, maintaining warehouse standards, and following all health and safety requirements, along with replying to emails. The role requires good attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Let'stalk about key responsibilities
Receiving & Goods Inward
- Unload deliveries safely and efficiently.
- Check incoming goods against delivery notes for accuracy.
- Report damaged or missing items to supervisors.
- Move stock to designated storage locations
Picking, Packing & Dispatch
- Pick customer orders accurately using manual or scanner-based systems.
- Pack orders securely to meet quality and customer service standards.
- Label and prepare goods for dispatch in line with operational procedures.
- Meet required productivity and accuracy targets.
Stock Handling & Inventory Support
- Replenish stock into picking locations.
- Maintain accurate stock levels by following stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO).
- Support with cycle counts and stock checks when required.
- Report stock discrepancies or damaged stock promptly.
- Respond to questions regarding deliveries and stock via email and teams.
Equipment Use & Warehouse Systems
- Use manual handling equipment (pallet trucks, pump trucks, or MHE if trained/licensed).
- Operate scanners and WMS systems as required.
- Follow all equipment safety procedures.
- Follow all health and safety policies, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Use appropriate PPE and follow correct manual handling techniques.
- Keep warehouse aisles, work areas, and stations clean and organised.
- Report hazards, near misses, or incidents immediately.
- Work closely with supervisors and colleagues to meet operational targets.
- Communicate effectively regarding workload, issues, or stock concerns.
- Support colleagues during peak periods and shift demands.
- Demonstrate a positive, proactive attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable, punctual, and team‑oriented.
- Physically able to carry out manual handling tasks.
- Basic numeracy and understanding of instructions.
- Experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
- Familiarity with scanners, WMS systems, or stock control processes.
- Forklift/MHE licence (counterbalance, reach, PPT, etc.).
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, or peak periods.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn new tasks and skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Organised and able to work with minimal supervision when required.
