Manufacturing Technician
Location:
Near Didcot, Oxfordshire
Salary:
Up to £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Syntech Recruitment are working with a highly advanced engineering organisation operating within a precision manufacturing and test environment. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to support the assembly, integration and testing of complex, safety‑critical hardware.
Responsibilities- Precision assembly of mechanical and electro‑mechanical hardware
- Supporting integration and test activities across development and production builds
- Assisting with functional, electrical, vibration, shock, thermal vacuum (TVAC) and RF testing activities
- Writing and maintaining Manufacturing Assembly Procedures (MAPs) and Test Procedures
- Inspection of machined components using in‑house metrology equipment
- Working closely with Product Assurance to define and qualify manufacturing processes
- Supporting internal and customer technical reviews as required
- Identifying and implementing process improvements
- Occasional visits to suppliers and subcontractors
- Strong engineering background with hands‑on precision assembly experience
- Proven experience using metrology equipment for detailed inspection
- Understanding of structured manufacturing, assembly, integration and test environments
- Experience working to detailed assembly procedures and controlled documentation
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, surface finishes and materials
- Strong organisational, prioritisation and problem‑solving skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Flexible to support build and test schedules when required
- Salary up to £45,000 depending on experience
