Join Nuclear Restoration Services (NRS) and play a key role in the safe decommissioning and environmental restoration of nuclear sites across the UK. We're offering an exciting Level 6 Project Management Degree Apprenticeship at our Harwell Site in Oxfordshire — where you'll gain a full degree, practical experience, and expert mentorship, all while earning a salary.

What

is the Apprenticeship?

This Government‑approved Level 6 Project Management Degree Apprenticeship provides in‑depth academic and practical training in project management within the nuclear sector. The programme includes:

  • A portion of your time will be spent studying at University of Cumbria
  • Four days per week of practical, on‑the‑job project experience at the Harwell nuclear site
  • Mentoring from experienced Project Management professionals
  • Training in real‑world nuclear environments where safety, quality, and governance are critical

NRS Harwell Site, Harwell Campus, Oxfordshire, OX11 0DF

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday, 08:15 – 16:35 (37 hours/week) (45‑minute unpaid lunch)

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of projects across the nuclear site
  • Assist with scheduling, cost control, risk management, and reporting activities
  • Learn how projects are governed and delivered in a highly regulated environment
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Apply project management tools and techniques to real‑world challenges
Entry Requirements & What We're Looking For

We're seeking motivated individuals with a strong interest in organisation, leadership, and delivery.

  • Be 18 or older by 4 August 2026
  • Have 3 A‑Levels (A–C)*
  • OR hold a relevant Level 3 qualification

We're also looking for:

  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • An analytical and problem‑solving mindset
  • Confidence communicating with a range of stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage priorities
  • A willingness to learn in a complex, safety‑critical environment
