Project Overview

We are recruiting for an Electrical Project Manager to oversee a £1mil electrical installation works on a Life Sciences / Laboratory project in Didcot. This is a long-term contract opportunity.

The role will suit someone comfortable managing straightforward electrical packages, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day delivery of electrical installation works on site

Take responsibility for an electrical package, ensuring programme, quality, and commercial targets are met

Coordinate electrical subcontractors and direct labour

Ensure compliance with health & safety, site procedures, and RAMS

Monitor programme, progress, and quality of works

Attend site meetings and liaise with client, main contractor, and design teams

Manage materials, short-term planning, and logistics

Identify and resolve site issues quickly and pragmatically

Support testing, commissioning, and handover where required

Maintain accurate site documentation and reporting

Required Experience

Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager, Electrical Supervisor, or similar role

Experience managing £million-value electrical packages

Background delivering electrical installation projects (commercial, laboratory, healthcare, or industrial preferred)

Strong understanding of electrical systems and site coordination

Good knowledge of health & safety and site compliance

Ability to manage subcontractors and programme delivery

Strong communication and organisational skills

SMSTS / SSSTS preferred

ECS / relevant electrical qualifications advantageous
