Position: Creative Content Manager (Maternity Cover)

Job description

BMS World Mission is looking for a Creative Content Manager. This person would be an exceptional writer and people manager for a maternity cover position, bringing their creativity as the Creative Content Manager (Maternity Cover).

Closing Date: 9am 20th March 2026

Interviews: 30th March 2026

Salary: £45,985 per annum

Contract type: 12 month fixed term contract

Didcot, Oxfordshire. Office‑based or hybrid

As an experienced communications professional, you’ll set the tone for our stories and campaigns, writing your own standout copy and overseeing the story gathering and messaging for publications, video content and resources. You’ll brief, commission and coach an in‑house Writer and Video and Photo Content Producer, as well as commissioning freelancers to keep our voice consistent across every channel.

You’ll love deadlines, feedback and supporter‑centric fundraising as you communicate what God is doing through BMS World Mission.

You’re collaborative, curious about the world and passionate about ethical storytelling. If you can lead a team to research, collect and craft stories that captivate our audience and move them to act, we’d love to hear from you.

This full‑time role would be a 12‑month contract from May 2026 – May 2027. This role can be hybrid with flexibility. Regular presence in our Didcot office is expected — minimum one day a week.

This role can be office‑based or hybrid. They’d prefer the post‑holder to attend our Didcot office around 1–2 days per week; however, attendance requirements may vary depending on the organisation’s needs. The cost of travel to BMS Didcot, whether regularly or infrequently, would be borne by the employee.
