Clinical Nurse Coordinator Labor & Delivery

Weekends: Rotating, every other weekend

Pay Range: $30.75–$46.15/hr (experience-based)

Differentials:

nights: + $3.50/hr

Overview

A respected regional medical center is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to provide overnight leadership in a busy, well-supported L&D unit. This hybrid Charge/Assistant Nurse Manager role is ideal for an L&D RN ready to step into a leadership position with strong clinical impact and autonomy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide charge-level leadership and direct supervision of night shift operations
  • Deliver high-quality care to laboring mothers and newborns
  • Perform deliveries and scrub for OB surgical cases as needed
  • Support team communication, clinical decision-making, and service recovery
  • Coordinate patient flow, including admissions, discharges, and transfers
  • Assist with scheduling, staffing oversight, and supply management
  • Guide staff performance, development, and adherence to policies
Qualifications Required
  • Active RN license (TN or compact state)
  • ADN required; BSN preferred
  • BLS within 30 days of hire
  • ACLS within 12 months of hire
  • 2+ years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
  • Prior leadership experience (L&D, NICU, Women’s Services, or Mother–Baby)
  • Must be confident performing deliveries and supporting OB OR cases overnight
