Description

Certified Hyperbaric Tech PRN role at Tri Star Horizon Medical Center. The position offers a flexible schedule driven by HBO patient needs, with up to six patients daily and variable hours.

We seek an adaptable individual comfortable with flexible hours and willing to cross‑train for other duties such as front desk coverage during low volume periods. The role is ideal for those who do not require a fixed number of hours.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain the hyperbaric chamber system and supporting components safely and effectively under the supervision of the Hyperbaric Physician and Clinical Manager.
• Perform maintenance activities of the hyperbaric chamber(s) and associated systems and equipment, as directed.
• Report safety issues and concerns to the Center HBO Safety Director.
• Provide front‑desk coverage during periods of low patient volume.
• Maintain patient schedules and ensure timely delivery of treatment sessions.

Qualifications:

• Current license or certification in a qualifying vocation:
  Registered Nurse, Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN), Registered Respiratory Therapist, Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician, Emergency Medical Technician, Certified Hyperbaric Technologist, Diving Medical Technician, Military Corpsman, Commercial or Military Diver, Life Support Technician.
• Minimum one year of experience in healthcare or diving industry; experience in wound care, hyperbaric medicine, emergency or acute medical care preferred.
• Specific training in compression chamber operations and knowledge of decompression tables desired.
• Physical ability to meet job conditions.
• Computer literate.
• Availability for PRN shifts.
• Flexibility to accept shifts with fluctuating weekly hours.
