POSITION SUMMARY:

* Provide instructional leadership for CTE programs

* Leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of high-quality, research-based CTE curriculum aligned to state standards and industry expectations

* Coordinate curriculum development, academic integration, and instructional materials to support teachers in delivering rigorous coursework across grade levels

* Support the management and alignment of curriculum grades 6-12, ensuring vertical alignment and student readiness at each transition point

* Support dual credit monitoring and verification, CCMR accountability, and workforce-aligned programming, including curriculum coordination for students attending alternative and choice campuses such as DALC and DCC, to ensure all students are prepared for postsecondary education and careers

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification

* Bachelor's degree

* Master's degree in Education (preferred)

* Valid Texas Teacher Certification

* CTE Certification (preferred)

Experience

* Minimum of five (5) years of classroom teaching experience (CTE preferred)

* Experience in curriculum development and instructional leadership (preferred)

* Experience supporting or coordinating CTE programs (preferred)

* Demonstrated leadership in campus or district initiatives

Knowledge & Skills

* Comprehensive knowledge of CTE TEKS, curriculum design, scope and sequence development, and assessment alignment

* Knowledge of CTE Career Clusters, Programs of Study, Industry-Based Certifications, Dual Credit crosswalks, and Level 1 Certificates

* Ability to coordinate curriculum development, academic integration, and instructional materials to support rigorous coursework

* Ability to support, monitor, and verify dual credit implementation and compliance

* Ability to use Skyward to input and manage Industry-Based Certifications (IBCs) for CCMR accountability

* Understanding of progress monitoring and CTE CCMR accountability

* Ability to analyze student, teacher, and program data to inform instructional improvement

* Strong organizational, communication, collaboration, and presentation skills

* Proficiency in developing instructional materials and presentations (Canva preferred)

* Effective time management and project management skills

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Curriculum & Instruction:

* Coordinate and manage curriculum development, academic integration, and instructional materials to support teachers with rigorous coursework

* Lead the development and revision of CTE curriculum aligned to TEKS and industry standards

* Support the creation and alignment of curriculum for grades 6-12

* Support campus leadership teams and CTE teachers through instructional coaching and campus visits

* Develop, align, and support district and campus assessments tied to curriculum and industry certifications

* Monitor and verify dual credit coursework to ensure compliance and instructional alignment

* Coordinate and support CTE curriculum needs for Junior High and High School students attending DALC and DCC

* Analyze student performance and program data to drive instructional and program improvement

Workforce & Program Development:

* Support implementation and expansion of industry certifications, dual credit, and work-based learning opportunities

* Collaborate with the CTE Director to support internships, job shadowing, and workforce partnerships

* Assist with planning, selection, and maintenance of instructional resources, equipment, and facilities

Professional Learning:

* Design and deliver professional development for CTE teachers and instructional staff

* Provide training related to instructional strategies, assessment practices, and emerging industry trends

* Participate in regional and state conferences and professional organizations

Policy, Compliance & Reporting:

* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local CTE policies and procedures

* Support accurate data collection, reporting, and CCMR accountability, including Skyward entry of Industry-Based Certifications

* Assist with safety protocols and emergency procedures related to CTE programs

Additional Duties:

* Support students with career, college, certification, and scholarship information

* Assist with CTE staffing support, job descriptions, and professional growth planning

* Perform other duties as assigned

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

* Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and district wide travel

* Occasional statewide travel

* Ability to lift up to 45 pounds occasionally

* Work in office and instructional environments

* Manage multiple projects and deadlines with frequent interruptions

Evaluation:

* Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with district guidelines.
