DSU is seeking Admissions Counselor(s). An Admissions Counselor reports to the Interim Vice President and is responsible for providing assistance with application processing, recruiting, and contributing to the daily functions of the Admissions office to reach enrollment goals. The Admissions Counselor assists in enhancing the prospective student experience and provides student centered services by contributing to an atmosphere that is welcoming and helpful.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Education:
Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, marketing, communications, education, or a related field; OR
* Associate degree and two (2) or more years of directly related work experience; OR
* Directly related work experience and some college equivalent to four (4) years
* Valid driver's license
* This position requires you to travel and you must be able to drive yourself to locations both in and out of state as your duties require.

* Demonstrated ability to prioritize and be self-motivated
* Demonstrated commitment to being detail and service oriented
* Excellent communication skills - interpersonal, oral and written
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* 1 year experience in post-secondary educational environment
* Campus Connection experience
* Target
X or other CRM experience
* Perceptive Content experience
DELIVERABLES & OUTCOMES:
* Student Recruitment & Application Processing
* Engage in all recruitment activities.
* Develop and implement strategic enrollment plan for your assigned territory.
* Develop and implement communications with students and families in conjunction with the entire admissions team.
* Make phone calls, send e-mails, text, write postcards letters, and interact on social media with incoming students.
* Respond to incoming questions and requests in a timely fashion.
* Create and maintain a welcoming environment for future students and families.
* Notify department(s) of students is interested in academic and/or extracurricular interests when appropriate.
* Represent Dickinson State University at school visits, fairs, outreach events, etc.
* Create a travel itinerary and share the itinerary with colleagues and supervisor.
* Notify students of upcoming recruitment activities by a DSU Admissions Counselor.
* Follow code of ethics and regulations specific to college fairs.
* Answer questions students, counselors, and parents/guardians may have regarding the university.
* Network with representatives from other colleges.
* Participate in high school and college visits as well as online recruitment activities:
* Represent Dickinson State at face-to-face and online outreach activities.
* Meet with students and families when they visit campus.
* Inform prospective students and their families about the opportunities available to them at DSU.
* Explain all important admissions procedures and information.
* Assist with campus visit days including weekends (when necessary)
* Assist with orientation and registration events for incoming students and families.
* Process student applications
* Enter applicant information into all relevant systems (i.e. Target
X, Campus Connection, etc.)
* Contact applicants and help them through each step admissions process including the gathering of materials.
* Submit completed applications for approval and matriculation.
* Track applicant progress through the admissions process and make suggestions for improvement.
* Assist with all incoming calls and emails to the main admission office.
* Maintain relationships with key stakeholders including students, families, school counselors, principals, etc.
* Assist office personnel with time sensitive projects.
* Other duties as assigned.
* Service to the institution
* Assist in recruiting and retention activities as agreed. This may include working special events, nights, or weekends. This may also include serving as an assistant coach, instructor, or providing other service to the institution based on your skills and experiences.
COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
* $40,/annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience
