Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Dickinson, Texas. This is a contract position designed to provide coverage during a maternity leave, offering a great opportunity to apply your financial expertise in a collaborative work environment. The role requires working 100% onsite and focuses on ensuring accurate and efficient processing of invoices and payments.

Responsibilities:

- Process and verify invoices to ensure accurate payment records.

- Assign appropriate codes to invoices to maintain organized financial documentation.

- Conduct regular check runs to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.

- Review and reconcile accounts payable transactions to resolve discrepancies.

- Maintain thorough and up-to-date records of all accounts payable activities.

- Collaborate with team members to address vendor inquiries and payment issues.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations in all payable operations.

- Prepare and submit reports detailing accounts payable activities.

- Assist in month-end closing processes related to accounts payable.

- Monitor and track payment schedules to avoid delays or missed deadlines. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.

- Strong knowledge of invoice processing and coding procedures.

- Familiarity with conducting check runs and maintaining payment schedules.

- Ability to work onsite in Dickinson, Texas.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office tools.

- Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.

- Ability to adhere to deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
