Job Summary
The QA/QC Technician supports the implementation and execution of the Quality Assurance/Quality Control program on assigned projects. This position is responsible for performing inspections, documentation, and testing activities to ensure construction processes, materials, and installations comply with contract specifications, regulatory requirements, and company safety and operational standards. The QA/QC Technician works closely with field personnel to promote quality compliance on a job-by-job basis.
SupervisoryResponsibilities
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance and support to field crews regarding QA/QC requirements.
Duties/Responsibilities- Perform daily QA/QC inspections in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Assist with QC testing activities and ensure testing is performed safely and accurately.
- Verify installations meet contract requirements, approved drawings, and applicable codes and standards.
- Maintain accurate and timely QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and checklists.
- Ensure QC testing equipment is in good working condition and assist with tracking calibration certificates.
- Communicate findings, deficiencies, and corrective actions to foremen, superintendents, and QA/QC management.
- Support turnover and pre-turnover walkdowns and assist with developing punch lists.
- Assist with compiling testing, commissioning, and turnover packages for client delivery.
- Work closely with field crews to ensure proper installation methods are followed.
- Participate in post-construction walkdowns as needed.
- Assist with updating QC trackers and logs as directed.
- Maintain accountability for assigned QC tools and equipment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures while performing QA/QC duties.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time
- Working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and NFPA 70E
- Basic understanding of data acquisition systems (monitoring, communications, networking)
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Clean DMV record, drug test results, and background check
- Preferred, 3–5 years of experience in the electrical construction field, commercial, or data center projects
- Previous experience performing QA/QC inspections or testing is preferred
- Experience working with electrical equipment and conductors to support safe testing and inspections
- Experience with electrical system start-up support is a plus
- Experience with de-energizing and lockout/tagout procedures
- Proficient computer skills, including Excel, MS Office, email, internet, Bluebeam, and applicable DAS or interface systems
